All you need to know about Jeremiah Wright is on World Net Daily

Sat Mar 15, 2008 at 10:08:02 AM PDT

Seriously.

Just look at the site today, and you'll find all the arguments you need to trash winger-race-baiting behind the attacks on Wright.

The big headline today:

Obama says his pastor
'pained and angered me'
'Denounces' anti-American, racist rhetoric,

Below that:

Obama's statement condemning controversial sermons
'I look forward to continuing a relationship with a church that has done so much good'
--Fox News

BLAST FROM THE PAST, JAN. 21, 2007
Pastor inspires Obama's 'audacity'
Report: Wright keeps senator's priorities straight, moral compass calibrated
--Chicago Tribune

So WND is trying to undermine Obama's claims that he's distancing himself from Wright (if I were Obama, though, I'd mention the racism thing that Wright has mentioned.)

But...

WorldNetDaily
Obama's minister: U.S. 'No. 1 killer in the world'
Candidate's role model claims America made AIDS to wipe out blacks
--WND

Obama: Rezko played bigger fundraising role
Indicted businessman raised $250,000 – much more than $70,000 campaign estimated
--Chicago Sun-Times

Barack's mother lived unconventional life
Anthropologist disliked ethnic barriers, sought to aid world's poor
--San Francisco Chronicle

"Unconventional," I suppose in that she bore a child that was the result of a union of different races.

But it's the 2 links under that that are most curious indeed...

McCain's spiritual guide: Destroy Islam
Ohio televangelist, key ally, has called for eradicating Muslims' 'false religion'
--Mother Jones

SPECIAL OFFER
'Silent No More: Bringing Moral Clarity to America'
Patriot pastor Rod Parsley says there's time – 'while freedom still rings'
--Shop.WND.com

Wait....whoa...Mother Jones linked to on Wingnut Daily????

Well, you see, destruction of Islam is what (Richard Mellon Scaife-supported) Wingnut Daily publisher Joseph Farah thinks is a good idea evidently.  So much so, (see last link) that they hawk Rod Parsley's book on their website!

From the last link:

"America's future depends on moral champions like Rod Parsley."
~The Honorable Walter Jones, U.S. Congressman, North Carolina

"This book should inspire men and women of faith...and make 'values voters' a force that politicians can no longer ignore."
~The Honorable Kenneth Blackwell, Secretary of State, Ohio

"'Silent No More' does not merely lay out the scope of the challenge, but also offers the information and action steps essential to the solution."
~The Honorable Tony Perkins, President, Family Research Council

"Rod Parsley is the real deal-a bold, dynamic man of faith who's committed to doing the right thing no matter what. This book...is a proven, winning game plan."
~Ted Haggard, Sr. Pastor, New Life Church, Colorado President, National Association of Evanelicals

Yeah, that's that Ken Blackwell, the guy who didn't want votes counted in Ohio.

And that's that Tony Perkins the one with all the racist friends.

And that's the Ted Haggard...well, y'all know about him...

So basically this is a little more bizarro Richard Mellon Scaife - inspired bullshit.

Let's see McCain distance himself from Parsely and renounce John Hagee's endorsement before we go after a preacher who said America was founded on racism, likely because of its history as a nation which countenanced slave-holding.
